Report from Head Coach - Dave Happel

The aquatic club swimming and diving teams had another very successful year during the 2023 2004 winter and summer seasons with 69 swimmers participating in the program. Swimmers accomplished 57 times and set 14 VAC records.

Swimmers completed in the Iowa winter 14 and under short horse championships and in the Iowa swimming summer long course championship and the winter and summer Aiden under championships.

Diverse completed the Iowa winter diving championship summer diving championship Iowa games diving championships.

The future of the swimming and diving in looks good, but we need more swimmers and divers to register. We need to retain new swimmer and divers for more than one season plus a new indoor outdoor pool is critical as the braille school facility may not be available in the long run.

The new owners of the braille school pool have made significant improvements to the facility and promised many more, but the rent is continuing increased to the point will not be able to afford to use the pool and facility if the prices continue to rise. Outdoor pool has a normal life of 30 years and we just completed his 37 season and it continues to deteriorate while Park has little plans for the future  in terms of repair or replacement.
